AUTO PISTOL GUNSMITHING COURSE.

Owners of the Colt Auto Pistol should understand the components of the firearm and have a basic to- moderately expert ability in dealing with issues regarding the operation and maintenance of the gun. This intensive four hour program is designed to provide the Colt pistol owner with a good working knowledge of his pistol and to summarize the techniques needed to overcome most handgun operation failures.

Participants are guided through techniques designed to recognize and defeat operational difficulties by gaining pistol structural knowledge, including: parts recognition and composition, disassembly and reconstruction, observation of mechanical wear, sear/hammer/trigger difficulties and improper parts exchange.

The series 70 and 80 pistols will be studied. Students will bring their personal Colt pistol(s), and a list of questions relative to the subject. Please DO NOT BRING ammunition. A history of the pistol and parts diagrams will be provided to each participant.
