I.S.I. Law Enforcement\Security Development School One Week Session

The objective of the ISI Police\Security Firearms Program is to increase the instructional ability of the Law Enforcement Officer. The subjects and instructional shooting exercises normally offered in our school are listed below, however, more may be added by the ISI Law Enforcement trainers directing each course. Additional information on any of the classes or instructional shooting exercises will be furnished upon request. This is not a basic, combat, or survival school! Equipment and ammo provided.

• Teaching the fundamentals of handgun marksmanship.
• Police firing positions; operation of revolvers and semi-automatic handguns.
• Cleaning of revolvers, semi-automatics and shotguns.
• Trouble-shooting and general gunsmithing procedures.
• Dim light firing and shoot/don't shoot exercises.
• Shoot/don't shoot critique.
• Teaching firearms safety.
• The police shotgun, use of slugs and buckshot.
• Police liability.
• Teaching the fundamentals of shotgun shooting, moving target (clay targets).
• Range Management
• Recommendations for transitional training, from revolver to semi-automatic.
